Mahathir's sympathy for AirAsia and the Tony guy for buckling under pressure from the Ah Jib regime rightly got a good telling off from the rakyat.
Some smart commenters said if it was alright to buckle under pressure, Bolehland should also forgive everyone else, including and especially the public servants, for failing to do what is right in law.
It fact, all nature and manners of crimes, dereliction of duties and corrupt practices can be forgiven because one is under pressure. Forget talking the rule of law then. Everything is excusable under duress. Even murder?
Hahaha....
What about those who did not buckle? Those like one of Maha's own friends whom he had often mentioned in his ceramahs who apparently did not buckle but paid up the extra taxes demanded?
It was just excruciating to watch the glove guy's very public apology to the Ah Jib's regime for backing the wrong horse. Just imagine how he must have felt like a blardy fool now. Because the 'wrong horse' he betted on and apologised so pitiably for, has turned out to be the winner!
No, no the Pm would do better to stand by principles and say no to buckling for expedience sake.
No one owes us a living. We do or die upon principles.
